The Value of Membership
The Voice of our Industry
ATCA is the voice of our industry. As an ATCA member, you gain access to opportunities for education, collaboration, thought leadership, and advocacy.
Shaping aviation’s future means having a new attitude in 2026 as we mark the 70th anniversary of ATCA’s founding.
We drove advocacy for funding and shaping policy and regulatory outcomes by injecting new energy, time, and purpose into these efforts, particularly on Capitol Hill, and in representing our entire industry. That includes joining the Modern Skies Coalition as a Steering Committee member, adding the ATCA Leadership Council to collaborate closely with the FAA and other government and industry partners, continuing to engage in meaningful dialogue with ATM stakeholders and incoming FAA senior staff, and telling our story to the news media.
During the first half of 2026, we successfully awarded Michael Huerta the Glen Gilbert Trophy, at a premier networking event, in a marvelous setting; hosted a one-day BNATCS summit which featured both Secretary Duffy and Administrator Bedford, along with other DOT and FAA officials; welcomed everyone to Charlston, SC where we featured leaders from the FAA and the Department of War in an environment designed for meaningful dialogue, relationship-building, and networking; and gathered in Atlantic City to explore emerging technologies, AI’s transformative role, and the safety implications for the modernization of the NAS.
ATCA can and will, enthusiastically, meet the request of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford to ask Congress for the additional $20 billion needed to fund the Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS). We are the only entity that can describe the work needed and the options for getting it done because we represent the industry that will do the work.
Additionally, ATCA is creating strong relationships with the other aviation stakeholders that represent system users and workforces. These groups can identify the needs and priorities, and then ATCA can craft the solutions in our aviation community conversations.
Much of our advocacy efforts are fueled by the expertise of the ATCA Leadership Council, which convenes senior industry executives to advise ATCA’s leadership on strategies to address key challenges facing our industry. This influential group develops consensus positions, creates unified messaging, and represents ATM interests with policymakers and stakeholders. Learn more about our Leadership Council. ATCA Corporate members are eligible to apply.
We have restructured ATCA for the future. This new funding model is a big part of that, putting us on a sustainable path to deliver value to each of our members and the aviation community. ATCA is uniquely positioned to take a leadership role and advocating for the rebuilding of the NAS with BNATCS. We invite you to lend us your support to make ATCA stronger. Your time and expertise, along with your support of this new membership structure, will fuel our efforts. BNATCS is an unprecedented opportunity for the industry, with focus and funding for ATM.
We are supremely committed to maximizing this new, important phase of ATCA, focusing on how we can deliver you the most value for your membership dollars at time when representing you and the industry could not be more important. We will continue to add benefits to your membership, including:
