New York-LaGuardia Airport Statement

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- ATCA President and CEO Stephen Creamer issued the following statement about last night's incident at New York-LaGuardia Airport:

"On behalf of the membership of ATCA, which works across the air traffic control, aviation industry, and global airspace communities to enhance the safety and efficiency of aviation, we are extremely saddened by last night's tragedy. We extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the pilot and first officer of Air Canada Express Flight 8646 whom we lost. The air traffic control and first responder communities are heartbroken. This is a devastating and unsettling day for many, and the latest reminder that safety is at the center of everything we do to improve our aviation system.”
