ATCA Congratulates Chris Rocheleau on Being Named FAA Acting Administrator
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – ATCA today offers its warmest congratulations and strongest support to its former Board of Directors Chair-Elect Chris Rocheleau, who was named Acting Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) by President Donald Trump. Rocheleau will serve as the FAA’s acting administrator until a nominee for the position is selected and confirmed by the Senate.
Rocheleau had served as Board Secretary before being chosen as Chair-Elect by ATCA’s membership last summer. Prior to joining the National Business Aviation Association in 2022 as its Chief Operating Officer, Rocheleau served the FAA for over 20 years in multiple roles including acting associate administrator for aviation safety, chief of staff, assistant administrator for policy, international affairs and environment, executive director for international affairs, and director of the office of emergency operations and investigations.
It was at the FAA where he first worked with ATCA President & CEO Carey Fagan.
“I had the privilege of being a colleague of Chris in the FAA for many years,” Fagan said. “I appreciate and admire the extensive experience and steadfast leadership that he brings to his new role as Acting Administrator. His unique background in government – both in the U.S. Air Force and as a civilian – along with his keen sense of aviation industry collaboration makes him an excellent choice at this important moment for the FAA.”
ATCA Board Chair Paul Feldman said, “As ATCA’s Board Chair, I want to express the Board’s appreciation for the contributions Chris made to further the work of the association. His strong leadership, management skills, and collaborative approach were tremendous assets to the Board. We look forward to working with him in his role as FAA Acting Administrator and are grateful for his commitment to public service and advancing the aviation system.”
