ATCA Committees - Sign Up Open

February 27, 2023

One of our goals for 2023 is to enhance the member experience. Many of you have expressed to me a desire to be involved in initiatives that evolve or improve our industry. Others have expressed a philanthropic desire to give back to those in our community. Based on this feedback, and in accordance with our strategic plan, we are inviting interested members to complete a sign up form to serve on one of the committees listed below. If you are already a member of one of the committees listed below, we ask that you sign up again for the committee so we have proper accounting.

*Technical Symposium Committee members do not need to reapply.

The deadline to apply is March 15th.

ATCA Airspace and Air Traffic Systems Committee
As ATCA works with the FAA, NASA, DoD, industry, and other associations to develop airspace integration solutions, this committee will provide guidance and assistance with the operationalization of strategies like the Info-Centric NAS Strategy. Also, as many of you heard at our ATCA Global event in November, we are working closely with FABEC on areas central to the success of a fully integrated global airspace system for all users around the globe. For questions about the committee, you can contact the ATCA liaison Bridget Dongu bridget.dongu@atca.org

ATCA Scholarship Committee
The ATCA Scholarship program was started in 1983 when it recognized one student with a small scholarship award. It has grown exponentially since then, supporting 8-12 students each year, with $75,000 in scholarships awarded annually. As of 2023, ATCA has given away nearly $1.5 million dollars to deserving students. The mission of this committee is to provide advice to ATCA’s leadership on scholarship matters pertinent to ATCA’s mission. The committee will take an active role in developing fundraising activities that will achieve stated goals. The ATCA Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to outstanding aviation students and children of air traffic controllers. ATCA's wonderful candidates, exceptional winners, and generous scholarship partners and donors are the ones who make the program a continuing success.
