ATCA Congratulates Embry-Riddle Prescott College of Aviation on Becoming the Ninth Enhanced (AT-CTI)
Alexandria, Va. — ATCA congratulates Embry-Riddle Prescott College of Aviation on becoming the ninth Enhanced Air Traffic Collegiate Training Initiative (AT-CTI) school in the United States.
The AT-CTI program partners with select colleges and universities to offer two- and four-year non-engineering aviation degrees with a focus on air traffic control and aviation administration. The program is designed to prepare highly qualified candidates for developmental air traffic control specialist positions with the FAA.
Graduates of AT-CTI programs are eligible to bypass the Air Traffic Basics Course, the first five weeks of qualification training at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City. Students then move into option-specific initial training—either terminal or en route—and must successfully complete all required Academy coursework to continue employment with the FAA.
