Established in Washington, D.C., in 1956 by a group of air traffic controllers, ATCA’s mission is to serve air traffic management users, providers, and industry partners by promoting cooperation, development, and safety in all aspects of airspace integration, and to further the efforts, needs, and success of our members. We work with the FAA, DOD, NASA, the drone community, the commercial space sector, and all industry that supports air traffic management worldwide.

To be recognized as the authoritative advocate of and resource to the global air traffic management profession.

To serve air traffic management users, providers, and industry partners by promoting cooperation, development, and safety in all aspects of airspace integration, and to further the efforts, needs, and success of our members.

What We Do:

ATCA is unique in representing a broad spectrum of airspace users. ATCA's Global Conference and Exhibition provides North America's largest and most diverse venue for aviation-related technology, attracting thousands of civilian and military members and representatives from around the world. ATCA also holds technical symposia, cyber security summits, and various high-level collaborative meetings.

The ATCA publications, The Journal of Air Traffic Control, Conference Technical "Proceedings," and the ATCA Bulletin, are prominent sources for the latest news and achievements in the field.

ATCA is a non-profit, non-government, professional organization. Membership is open to all who share a common interest in promoting and encouraging the advancement of aviation and airspace integration.
